  • 30′ Yoga No
  • Wedding    Beautiful day!

During the first half of the week I noticed how putting my goals on the blog really made me feel like I had to get them done.   Friday as soon as we got to Ocracoke, and it was soooo hot, my friend and I went for a 30’ jog/walk and I did yoga for about 10 minutes afterwards.  Without the blog I might of just relaxed, but  the accountability of telling the world about my progress pushed me to be insistent about workout out.  Although I went for a run/walk so it is checked as no since I didn’t remember the correct body circuit workout.

Saturday I had a great time at the wedding and a great afternoon relaxing on the beach.  I thought about working out, but since I haven’t been to the beach since last summer I went to the beach.  In retrospect I could have gotten up earlier to do my workout first thing, or I could have done a short workout before going to the beach.  I really let me mind talk me out of both options.  I think getting enough sleep was the key to both of these.  Also, doing my workout first thing in the morning when I’m traveling is my best strategy for reaching my goal of accomplishing my workouts during the summer.

Overall it was a good week and I had a great relaxing weekend so I feel recharged for the week ahead.  My focus this week will be getting enough sleep because I feel I am a lot better at getting my exercise in when I feel rested.

Live Well,

Laura
