Laura’s Summer Goal Week 7 Backyard Workouts

Goal: I am so happy and feel great that I have accomplished my 8 week summer exercise goal.  Each week I ran four times, practiced yoga three times and lifted weights twice.

Monday

  • Yoga Class

Tuesday

  • 30′ Run

Wednesday

  • Full Body Circuit With Running Intervals

Thursday

  • 30′ Walk
  • 20′ Yoga

Friday

  • Full Body Circuit With Running Intervals

Saturday

  • 40′ Run
  • 20′ Yoga  No

Sunday

  • Reflection

This week I’ve really enjoyed being creative with my workouts and maintaining them while I was traveling.  I’ve reported on most of them.  Friday I did a backyard workout where I did drills across the yard and then upper body circuits.  I did 12 reps each of push ups, upright rows, bicep curls, tricep extensions and lateral raises.  Then across the yard I did skips, high knees, butt kicks, walking lunges, side step squats, sprint and then jog backwards.  I repeated all of that four times.  It was really fun, my daughter and her friend who was also 3 would run around with me and join in.

Saturday I went for a run to get some time for myself during our trip.  I did not get my yoga in as I’ve been doing during nap time which we skipped because we were on the road.  Its been a fun week visiting friends and spending time with our family.
