Check Out Our Cover

     Here is our book cover!  We are getting really close to actually having our book for sale.  In fact, 100 copies will soon be delivered to our door.  So we thought it was time to share our cover with the world.

      It is amazing to hold the finished product.  At our first meeting with Shelley Lieber in December 2008 (we had already been working for about 8 months on the manuscript) we thought we’d be done in about six months.  Well here we are  17 months later and we’re almost done.  We changed some things along the way like deciding to get an illustrator for the cover and had some delays, but we think it was worth the wait.  

      Holding this book in my hand was made possible by goal setting and taking small steps every day toward reaching our goal.  We can’t stress enough how much inspired and purposeful action can really help you get where you want to go.  And the process continues, now we have to sell the book and continue developing future programs.  We are learning about social media and blogging,  two things that were not on my to-do list two years ago.  One of our hopes is that we can inspire other Moms to follow their dreams.  We know the days can seem too busy and that your mind tells you there isn’t enough time, but try and make just a small step towards you goal every day.  Some days my only action step was to send an email (like 5 minutes) but we just kept moving forward and didn’t give up.

     As we continue this journey I can’t say enough about the support we’ve had from our families.  Our parents and our husbands have been great and I’m sure they are glad that we have something to show for all our time and effort.  We also need to send a huge thank you to Shelley Lieber (www.vipauthors.com) for all her work and patience as we worked through all those changes.
